MFEE True Blue Spirit Lecture Series

Dear MHS Community,

Please note that the date of the MFEE True Blue Spirit Lecture Series “Positive Parenting for your High School Athlete” originally scheduled for Thursday, May 8^th, has been moved to coincide with the MHS 8^th Grade Athletic Informational Night on Tuesday, May 27^th.  This athletic informational portion of the evening is for our rising 9^th graders and their parents and will begin at 7 pm in the MHS main gym off Midland Ave with information regarding MHS Athletics followed by time to circulate and meet coaches and players from all of the 31 varsity sports teams.  However, the lecture is geared towards all high school parents and will start at 7:30 pm in the LGI adjacent to the gyms.  Topics covered include college athletic expectations and realities, parental support of your high school athlete, etiquette as a parent of a high school athlete, parent involvement, communication with players, coaches and athletic administration and the role of a high school coach.  The lecture will be conducted by John Porcelli and John McCarthy of the Yogi Berra Museum and Learning Center/Coaching Institute.  All high school and middle school parents are encouraged to attend the lecture.
